eHEMOBANK covers all the needs expressed by healthcare centres regarding blood transfusion management. Both flexible and entirely configurable, this system is able to adapt to national and international regulations, as well as internal procedures. It accepts most international standards (AABB, ISBT 128, etc.), as well as most exchange standards: EFS-Pivots, EFS Test Result Exchanges, HL7, etc. eHEMOBANK also stands out through its interoperability. The software fits in perfectly with the nursing care plan, and boasts interfaces with external systems such as ID servers, hospital informations systems and laboratory information systems. A third-party application can also be used to make contextual calls.
eHEMOBANK helps healthcare centres with their decision-making at every stage of the transfusion process.

Communication with the French Blood Donation Organisation (EFS) based on Test Result Exchanges
Integration into the hospital’s Information System thanks to a powerful and configurable interfacing module
Care services
eHEMOBANK enables healthcare services to access patient files and thus improve security throughout preliminary transfusion process steps. In addition to being able to view the transfusion file, laboratory tests and blood products can also be prescribed. Lastly, prescriptions can be monitored in full, as can test and product preparation stages.

Laboratory
Thanks to its module covering all recipient laboratory needs, eHEMOBANK offers various functionalities aiming to strengthen transfusion safety. It can namely be used to check tube IDs, recover results securely from terminals, and verify results in line with the patient’s history (followed by biological and technical validation). In addition, the module is able to automatically generate protocols and tests, whilst managing compatibility tests.

Stock management
eHEMOBANK includes a stock management module for each group and phenotype, with real-time alerts regarding stock levels. It allows for stock level and soon-to-expire product management in multiple blood banks and in multiple sites, boasting a multi-criteria search feature. To ensure optimal traceability, eHEMOBANK can also be used to manage labile blood product reservations and name-based labelling. Products can also be blocked and unblocked.

Distribution
With its assisted and secure distribution module, eHEMOBANK makes checking prescription validity much easier, as well as entering external tests and electronic cross-matching. It is able to suggest the best product for each patient, whilst verifying transfusion conditions and compliance with any protocols set by the user. Well-suited for vital emergency distribution, it can also be used to cancel distribution and manage any product returns or destruction.

Transfusion
eHEMOBANK is designed to prescribe tests and labile blood products in a simple manner, thanks to a contextual call from the hospital informations system. In addition to controlling the patient’s transfusion protocols, the software can be used to launch a quick ID search, whether for a PPI, hospitalisation number or National Health ID number. As such, an unlimited number of exhaustive patient files can be accessed. Labile blood product receipt is also recorded, via a contextual call from the hospital’s Information System. The patient’s identity is consistently checked based on the data sent in by the French Blood Donation Organisation and the hospital’s Information System.
In addition, the software secures labile blood product transfusions by automatically checking consistency between the distributed product and the patient in question, thus limiting any risk of errors. eHEMOBANK also encompasses a tool dedicated to haemovigilance, including transfusion incident management, communication with transfusion recipients, information feedback, dashboards and survey results. Lastly, any vital data is gathered directly at the patient’s bedside using eHEMOTRACE.

eHEMOTRACE
eHEMOTRACE is a tool used to gather information at the patient’s bedside, leading to simpler blood sample management and tube labelling. It ensures the right pouch is given to the right patient, and gathers any medical information relevant to the patient at every stage of the transfusion. As such, the system can be entirely configured and used to gather all and any traceability data directly at the patient’s bedside.
